Five dealers of fake cheese arrested, their network was spread from Sahaspur to Chakrata

To escape the eyes of the law, three accused from Dehradun had built a fake cheese factory in the jungle of Saharanpur, they had planned to make huge profits during the Char Dham Yatra

Rajkumar Dhiman, Dehradun: Dun police has arrested three more accused (factory operators) in the case of supply of fake cheese from Saharanpur to Dehradun. Earlier, the police had raided a shop in Doon’s Raipur area and not only confiscated 2320 kg of fake cheese here and in Saharanpur, but also arrested 02 accused and got the fake cheese factory sealed. Based on the information given by the two accused caught on the spot, three more accused (Manoj Kumar, Shahrukh and Narendra) who were running a fake cheese factory in partnership have also been arrested. Dismantling the network of this illegal business, the police has arrested a total of five accused.


Accused caught with consignment of fake cheese.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun Ajay Singh said that Manoj Kumar, Shahrukh and Narendra, who were caught in the fake paneer case, are the main kingpins of this illegal business. During interrogation, the accused told that Narendra has a dairy in Selaqui area, from where he supplies fake paneer in Sahaspur, Selaqui and nearby areas. Similarly, accused Manoj has a house and a mobile shop in Herbertpur. Under the guise of the shop, he sells fake paneer in Vikasnagar and Chakrata etc. areas from his house itself.

All the three main accused run a fake cheese business in partnership. Accused Narendra Chaudhary had earlier sold his land in Selaqui and built a fake cheese factory on a plot in the middle of the jungle in Kasampur, Saharanpur. In which the accused used chemicals to prepare fake cheese. Accused Manoj used to supply cheese and accused Shahrukh used to arrange milk etc. for fake cheese.

Keeping in mind the high consumption of cheese in the Char Dham Yatra that is going to start in Uttarakhand, the accused had sent a large quantity of fake cheese from Saharanpur to Dehradun. So that huge profits can be made by supplying it to the restaurants and main stops on the Char Dham Yatra route from here. During interrogation of accused Manoj, it was found that he had sold about 20 kg of fake cheese to a shopkeeper in Chakrata a few days ago. On which the police took immediate action and recovered the fake cheese from Chakrata area and destroyed it.

1- Manoj Kumar son of Meharpal resident of Herbertpur Ward No. 05, Police Station Vikasnagar, Dehradun
2- Shahrukh son of Munfait resident of Kunja Grant, Police Station Vikasnagar, Dehradun
3- Narendra Singh son of Nakli Singh resident of Village Chotuwala, Gram Panchayat Badamawala, Vikasnagar, Dehradun

The accused was caught with a consignment of fake cheese.

The whole truth came out after their arrest in Raipur:
1- Abdul Mannan son of Salim Ahmed, resident of Raipur Road, Ishwar Vihar, Dehradun
2- Arif son of Mehndi Hasan, resident of Bairagi Wala, Police Station Sahaspur, Dehradun

Details of recovery:
1- 07 quintals 20 kg fake paneer (in Dehradun) and 1600 kg recovered from factory in Saharanpur.
2- Pickup vehicle used in supply of fake paneer
